COLLECTIONSDr. Bob Bors is the Project Leader of the Domestic Fruit Program and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Plant Sciences at the University of Saskatchewan. Bob's research focuses on breeding, tissue culture, propagation, disease screening, and interspecific hybridization of hort crops with emphasis on fruit and ornamentals.
Charlene and Bruce Hill are establishing an orchard at Imperial, Saskatchewan. Video production and photo editing combines with web site development and computer sales, repairs, and consulting. Bruce is the President and Value Chain Manager for CCPI, chairs the Marketing Committee, and is the webmaster for this site.
The Village Orchard. Ron and Lynn have established an orchard with a variety of fruit plants...U of S Cherries, apples, and raspberries. In season it is well worth contacting them to visit and pick.
Sweet Apple Orchard keeps Mel Annand busy in his spare time. Sweet Apple not only boasts several varieties of apples but has thousands of U of S cherry plants.
Fruitful Adventure, a prairie orchard, located near Outlook on the banks of the South Saskatchewan is what keeps Marty and Claire Elder busy. They have both sour cherries and haskaps planted under pivot irrigation.
